Digitally Sign the Output Documents with RPE 1.3

Kumar has recorded a new video on digitally signing the Word and PDF output documents with RPE 1.3.

You can find more on digital signatures RPE Infocenter. A very good read on the purpose and benefits of digitally signing documents is found in the Office documentation: Add or remove a digital signature in Office documents

There are 3 aspects covered by the video:

  1. configure RPE Launcher to digitally sign the Word and PDF output documents
  2. inspect and trust self-signed certificates
  3. generate self-signed certificates for digitally signing the output documents

For the 3rd topic the command used in the video is:

keytool -genkeypair -alias rpeDemoCertificate -keyalg RSA -keypass testPassword -keystore c:\temp1\outputDigiCertificate.pfx -storepass testPassword -keysize 2048 -storetype pkcs12
